Even if you and your spouse agree to a divorce and its terms, Mississippi law requires that a divorce be on file for sixty days before it can be signed by a judge. In other words, you have to wait two months even if you have things worked out. For contested divorces, things may take quite a bit longer. Fortunately, we can move quickly and temporarily relieve some of your troubles, but seeing a contested divorce through trial can take some time and considerable emotional expense. We are here for you and will aggressively protect you and your interests. We will make sure that you receive what is yours and that your children are protected.
